2014 must be the year of Eleanora. After quietly forging their sounds and craft, the outburst of Eleanora’s music is relentless. First there was the split album with Amenra, now there is this debut EP of their own. These Belgians are determined to break down the silence with a seldom seen ferocity. With just 15 minutes of music, this debut EP might seem on the short side, but this will be the most intense 15 minutes you’ll hear all year. Their combination of (post)hardcore, sludge and doom grinds, devastates and is uncompromising and unforgiving. This EP is a sledgehammer to your face, and is undoubtably the harbinger of a crushingly bright future.

this records has so much emotional heaviness and depth to it. I heard it for the first time when this resonated with me very well and after more and more time has passed the appreciation for this record just grew immensely. still spinning this every now and then from time to time since it just moves me with its mix of black metal and ghostly and haunting but beautiful clean singing alex-dissonance
